ACCREDITEDCommonwealth Avenue out to Cleveland Circle is prewar brick, dozens of apartments on one boiler, with a basement laundry room shared by the whole building. When the dryer there quits it isn't one household waiting, it's the entire line of units.
Leases here turn over on the first of September, all of them at once. That week we work through management-company lists rather than single addresses — a dozen apartments checked between tenants, before anyone moves a couch in.
These stages may vary slightly depending on the type of appliance being repaired and the specific requirements of the client.
Don't let a broken appliance disrupt your daily routine any longer. At our company, we're committed to providing reliable and affordable repair services for a wide range of appliances.
No surprises. No hidden fees. Just honest, upfront pricing for quality HVAC & appliance repair.
Access, parking and what the buildings here do to a service call.
From August 31 to September 2 the city blocks off common moving locations for truck drop-offs without a permit; the rest of the year a moving-truck space is applied for online at least fifteen days ahead. A repair van on a resident-permit street relies on the city's commercial-vehicle rule for work inside a building, so expect it to stop where it can and the dolly to do the rest.
Yes. The city runs a separate BC Stadium Walkshed permit for Allston-Brighton residents on football home days, which tells you the streets around the stadium are restricted then. A van without that permit is in the same position as any other visitor. If your building is inside the walkshed, we schedule around the game or come in through the garage.
It is the Aberdeen Architectural Conservation District, designated in 2002, one of the Landmarks Commission's districts and the only one in Brighton. Exterior changes visible from the street are reviewed there, so a condenser on a front elevation on those streets off Commonwealth Avenue near Cleveland Circle goes through the commission first. Elsewhere in Brighton there is no such review; the building's management is the gatekeeper.
Boston inspects registered rental units on a five-year cycle, with owner-occupied buildings of six units or fewer exempt, and a landlord with a clean record can apply for an alternative compliance plan. We fix what is broken and the invoice says what was found and replaced. We do not certify a unit for the inspection; that is the inspector's job, and the paperwork is yours.
