What Dorchester buildings throw at us

Dorchester is triple-decker country from Savin Hill through Fields Corner to Ashmont, with three of everything in the cellar: three furnaces or boilers, three water heaters, three meters. When heat quits on one floor the other two are fine; tracing which line feeds which unit is step one.

Many of these houses are owner-occupied, one floor for the owner and family above, and the person calling knows its history. Ashmont Hill and Melville Park are another story: big Victorian single-families where the equipment serves one family.

Pricing explained before the work started

Great service!! Our technician, Adam, was incredible. He walked us through what was wrong with our dishwasher, next steps and pricing up front so we knew what to expect. Parts were ordered right away and everything was fixed within a couple days. We would absolutely use ABV again because of the great experience we had with Adam.

Easy to reach, easy to schedule

Couldn't recommend ABV enough. Every time I've called their service team has promptly picked up and scheduling an appointment is always easy. Nik, specifically, is a fantastic technician. Always on time, extremely courteous, knowledgeable and always does a fine job whenever he's servicing my indoor splits system.

Next-day appointment, technician right on time

After reading all the great reviews of ABV, I called to have my washer serviced. They were able to make an appointment for the next day and came out right on time. Their technician, Alan, was incredibly friendly, thorough and helpful! After almost 20 years, it's probably time for a new washer but Alan gave us a great temporary fix for only the cost of a service call. I highly recommend ABV!

Second repair, scheduled just as quickly

ABV has done a great job repairing my appliances, this was the second time I had them make a repair for me. This time I had an issue with my washer and dryer. They were able to quickly schedule the diagnostic and determine the issues. The parts were ordered quickly and the repair carried out the same day the parts arrived. Vlad, the technician, also instructed the residents on how to properly use each appliance to avoid issues in the future, as well as create a video showing proper use. Thanks ABV for a job well done. Will use you again in the future.
